Il programma nel dettaglio

The Route of the Grail and Religious Art is a guided tour that takes place in the most relevant spots in Valencia from an artistic, cultural and religious perspective. It includes entrance to the Church of San Juan of the Hospital, Cathedral Museum, Santo Cáliz Chapel and Church of San Nicolás. The first point to visit is the Church of San Juan del Hospital, Valencia’s oldest church. As well as the historical-artistic tour, there is a visit to the medieval cemetery housed by the complex, following its recent restoration.

The tour will then move on to Valencia Cathedral, where as well as being able to admire its exterior architecture there will be a visit to the Diocesan Cathedral Museum, paying special attention to the Santo Cáliz Chapel, with the relic.

On finishing, the tour will then head to the Church of San Nicolás, in Calle Caballeros.

The Church of San Nicolás de Bari and San Pedro Mártir is probably the best example of the coexistence between a Gothic structured temple and baroque decoration from the 17th century that we can find in the city of Valencia. It was declared a National Historical and Artistic Monument in 1981. Following the extensive restoration completed in 2016, San Nicolás has recovered all of its splendour.
