During your stay in Madrid, you can’t miss this amazing tour around its most representative attractions. You’ll start at the emblematic “Plaza Mayor”, to take a walk around it. The square’s origins date to the 16th century. In this square, also known as “Plaza del Arrabal” (suburbian square), is where the village market used to take place, building the first porched house to adjust the commerce at the square. From Plaza Mayor you’ll walk to Puerta del Sol, and enjoy a different perspective on this street as you take a look at the Metropolis building, one of the most representative symbols of Madrid.
You’ll also check on Gran Vía, which is the most famous street in Madrid, as well as one of the most representative works in Spain. The next stop is the Cibeles fountain and the post office, current town hall. You’ll walk through Puerta de Alcalá, to next arrive in Parque del Retiro, where the tour ends.
