Escape the city as you take the South Panamerican Highway, towards the spectacular Irazu Volcano National Park. Wind through fertile lands cultivated with all kinds of vegetables and observe panoramic vistas. Upon arrival to the top of the volcano you can observe the main craters and on a clear day take in the views over the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea.
Descend, and head to the city of Cartago, where you will enjoy a stop at the Virgin of the Angels Basilica, that according to religious custom is a peregrination site for many believers. Continue towards La Hacienda Orosi, surrounded by rainforest and lush vegetation, this area has been blessed by mother earth with nascent hypothermal mineral water. Explore the mystical land, where positive energy surrounds you as you you enjoy the peace and tranquility of the area.
These rich springs of mineral hypothermal “telluric” waters (non-magmatic or volcanic), are filtered between the layers of the earth and spring in the middle of the rainforest at more than 65 degrees Celsius. The minerals, salts and ions that compose this water enrich the skin tissues, and truly stimulate the senses.
