Tired of the crowded beaches? Want to head off the beaten track? Then this is the ideal day out for you. Travel in a convoy of open-topped jeeps to the unspoilt Sierra de las Nieves Nature Reserve and ancient Moorish villages as you learn all about the local flora and fauna and the fascinating history of the area.
The Sierra de las Nieves is a pristine mountain paradise, centred around the peak of La Torrecilla and has a rich variety of flora and fauna. Ojen, whose name means place of bitterness in Arabic is a settlement dating from Moorish times with dazzling white houses tucked away between the Sierra Blanca and the Sierra Alpujata. Here we will visit an old olive oil mill and you will get to try some of the liquid gold before exploring the village in the company of a knowledgeable local guide. Kids will love this excursion too as there are plenty of activities with them in mind such as orienteering with maps and compasses. Weather permitting we may even be able to go for a swim in one of the area's many inland rivers and lakes.
Meeting/ Pick up point: Pick-ups can be arranged from all hotels on the coast between Torremolinos and Estepona.
Start or opening time: 9-10am.
End or closing time: 5-6pm.

Others: Remember to wear comfortable clothing and footwear, a sunhat and sunglasses and towels and swimwear in the summertime.
