Sightseeing includes Boso no Mura "Edo-style" village, Tako Ajisai Kaikan Roadside Station (local farmers' shop & rice balls making experience), Shibayama Nioson Temple and Haniwa Museum (terracotta tomb figures)
Boso no Mura is a unique museum that allows visitors to experience traditional lifestyle and crafts of Boso region. (not included)
The facility reproduces an Edo period village with a town square, traditional Japanese inns and various stores.
Festivals, performances of traditional entertainment and special exhibitions are occasionally held.
Wander into the world of Edo period! Try out wearing kimono and ninja outfit! (not included)
Tako Ajisai-kan Roadside Station.
Situated on the picturesque bank of the Kuriyama river this station gives access to local rice and vegetables which are available for sale alongside with other foods such as dairy products, miso and pickles.
Taste Japanese home-cooking style meal using local ingredients or enjoy a leisurely lunch on the second-floor terrace while surrounded by a rural landscape.
You can take part in onigiri rice balls making experience!
Shibayama Nioson Temple and Haniwa Terracotta Tomb Figures Museum.
A charming and quiet local Tendai Buddhist temple. Its history dates back to middle Heian period when it was founded in 781 A.D. The black Nio statues were known as a ward off of fire and theft and were respected as higly as Buddha statues for the miracles they were thought to perform.
