After being picked up at the hotel, travel to Lamphun province south of Chiangmai. The first stop will be at Watbat Tak Pa, in the Pasang District to see the small Buddha footprint in Mondop and yellow robe hanging on the cliff “Roi Tak Phaa” (รอยตากผ้า) meaning “the stain of hanging cloths”, it is a myth about the robe of the Lord Buddha.
Continue to Wat Chammadevee t(Wat Ku Kut) located on the Lamphun-San Pa Tong Road and built in 1298 in the Lawo (Lopburi) style. The Chedi is a square structure similar to Buddhagaya in India. Around the Chedi are levels of arches holding a total of 60 Buddha statues. Ashes of the queen are enshrined within the Chedi.
From here we will walk to Wat Haripunchai, the most famous temple in Lamphun. After an extensive visit of this temple, we will cross the bridge over Mae Nam Kuang to Wiang Yong, the first settlement of the Tai Yong people in Lamphun. The bridge itself is an interesting market with local products.
After lunch, drive to the Kard Baan Ta market, and browse the stalls selling many local produce from wildflowers to honey, vegetables to deep-fried banana.
Afterwards, transfer back to Chiangmai, where your tour will come to an end.
