Il programma nel dettaglio

Westminster Abbey is undoubtedly one of the most delicate Gothic works in the capital. With a rich history behind it that spans over more than a thousand years, this imposing church was originally a Benedictine monastery and has evolved into a traditional place for the burials and coronations of the monarchs. Millions of tourists visit this magnificent building every year and admire its unique architecture and learn more about London's past. Now you can be part of this privileged group.

Admire a truly impressive Gothic masterpiece with spectacular stained glass windows and beautiful intricate carvings. Its glorious exterior contrasts with an equally surprising interior, which houses the Coronation Chair, where numerous kings and queens, including the current Queen Elizabeth II, have been crowned since 1066, when William the Conqueror was enthroned.

Westminster Abbey is also the home to many commemorative monuments and graves of artists, writers and musicians – also known as Poets’ Corner. Here lie the remains of Charles Dickens, Geoffrey Chaucer, Samuel Johnson and Rudyard Kipling and other significant figures such as Isaac Newton and Charles Darwin.
