This tour of by GoCar is an ideal way to get to know one of Europe's most exciting cities. These easy to drive funky yellow cars have to be the best way to visit Barcelona. Whiz around town with the wind in your hair visiting all the main attractions as well as some spots off the beaten track. And there's no danger of getting lost. The car's inbuilt GPS system guides you around the town like a local and the integrated audio-guide provides a running commentary on this fabulous city and all the sights.
Start by the beautiful Arc de Triomf and then head straight for visionary architect Antoni Gaudi's masterwork, the iconic Basilica of the Sagrada Family. Next drive on to the Parc Guell for a tour of one of Gaudi's lesser known architectural gems where architecture blends seamlessly with nature and then climb the Tibidabo for some spectacular views of the whole city.
Next stop is the Camp Nou, home to FC Barcelona, where we'll visit the stadium and pitch. Then we'll venture into areas well off the tourist trail such as the buzzing bohemian neighbourhood of Gracia with its sunny squares and chic bars.
Then on the way back, we'll cruise down the classy boulevard of Passeig de Gracia, where you can admire two of Gaudi's most mind-boggling creations, Casa Batllo and Casa Mila, built as apartment blocks for the budding Catalan bourgeoisie over a hundred years ago, and now UNESCO-listed World Heritage Sites.
