Take a step back in time and experience Dubai as it was 50 years ago. Your professional guide will escort you on a fascinating journey in a museum quality 1950’s Land Rover on this authentic Desert Safari Dubai.
These vehicles were extensively used in the 1950’s and since then have become part of the UAE history. No other vehicle offers a more authentic desert experience to spot exotic local wildlife within the pristine Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve.
Watch the sun drop under the horizon as you watch a falcon soar around you. Your Bedouin camp, lit with the gentle flames of traditional lamps is nestled inside a private Royal desert retreat. We will demonstrate cultural activities such as henna tattoos, music, dance and bread and Arabic coffee making before enjoying a scrumptious dinner under the stars. History comes to life in this once in a lifetime heritage event.
Meeting/pick-up point: Hotel within Dubai.
Duration: 7 hours.
Pick-up time: Pick-up times will vary through-out the year. In order for you to plan your day, please be prepared for a pick-up between the following times:
October – February: 2:30pm-3:30pm.
March – May: 3pm-4pm.
June – September: 3:30pm-4:30pm.
Drop-off time: Between 10pm to 11pm.
Opening days/period: Daily.
Dress code: The weather in the Dubai desert is very different than in the city. During the day, loose fitting clothing and shoes that can be easily removed (flip flops/sandals/thongs) are best. However, at night, please use the following as a guide:
May-October – Loose clothing, shorts, t-shirts etc.
November – April – Dress in layers.
It can become quite cold in the desert as soon as the sun sets. Especially between December-February, the temperature can get down below 10 degrees Celsius. Jeans, closed shoes, shirts, cardigans or even a jacket is required on cooler nights in the desert.
