Pueblo Español

Pueblo Español is comprised of a wide range of houses, squares and streets from different villages of the seventeen autonomous regions in Spain, creating this way an ideal model of all the villages and a unique and peculiar place. The richness and variety of Pueblo Español is not only limited to the buildings since the village boasts a lot of activity and life. Nowadays it has become the leading producer of craftwork in South Europe, boasting over 45 workshops.

This ever-growing activity ranges from traditional craftwork to contemporary craftwork as well as the most innovative design and art. The cultural heritage of the Pueblo is completed thanks to the Fundación Fran Daurel (Fran Daurel Foundation), a collection of contemporary art, comprising more than 300 drawings and sculptures of the most important artist of the 20th century, to the exhibition of Espai Agustí Masssana, to the sculpture Contorn/Entorn of Guinovart and the Jardín Escultórico (Sculptural Garden), which houses more than 20 sculptures conceived to be exhibited outdoors.

Finally, the Pueblo is a dynamic area that offers a wide range of cultural and leisure activities throughout the whole year. During the visit, one may buy unique handmade products in the different craftwork workshops and in the area's shops, all of which are open seven days a week.
