Our first
visit is to the town of Pisa and the lush green Piazza dei Miracoli where we find four gleaming white buildings: the Cathedral, Baptistery, Camposanto and the iconic Leaning Tower – the Campanile (bell tower).
A welcome lunch awaits us at a traditional Tuscan restaurant that includes a pleasant
tasting of local wines. After lunch our journey of delights continues with a visit to the medieval walled town of San Gimignano, a Unesco World Heritage site. The most striking thing you will notice here are the many tall towers that rise above the town and offer
fabulous views of the surrounding area.
Finally, our day comes to an end in the stunning town of Siena. A guide will lead you through the
highlights of the city such as such the splendid Siena Cathedral on the Piazza del Duomo and the Piazza del Campo where the traditional Palio de Siena horse race is held every summer. In Siena you also have free time to wander around before we head back to Florence.
Meeting/pick-up point: Inside Santa Maria Novella Train Station, in front of the Pharmacy.
