Ancient and cosmopolitan Malaga in the past still retains its historic roots intact. In long-gone times it bore witness to the origins of man and of the Mediterranean culture, and is today the primary force in the Andalusian tourist industry, keeping alive its tradition of a welcoming and creative land. This route offers a complete image of the XIXth century that runs between art and its gaze, the society and its manners, their music and the tasting of Malaga wines.

Popular Art Museum
This museum is a journey through the history of Malaga and its province, customs and activities in the nineteenth century. Stroll between carriages to transport animals and environments as the Tahona (bakery), the Almazara (oil press) or the cabinet of bourgeois houses and traditional furnishings.
Tapas tasting in “La Recova”
‘La Recova’, is located in an old building of XIXth Century, at the foot of San Juan Church tower. In it, we can enjoy of the best Andalusian crafts, also, know and taste the most traditional Malaga gastronomy. The tasting, we offer, comprises an assortment of typical tapas, elaborate with natural local products, accompanied with a Malaga wine. The time recommended for this tasting is at mid-morning, perfect to recover and keep on your route.
Wine Museum
In this space, coexist the history, the culture and the art around Malaga wines. The museum offers an extensive tour through the wine history and geography and vineyard in the production wine areas of the area. At the end of your visit, you can taste two local wines.
Malaga Fish Frying in “Puro Pescaito”
Enjoy the exquisite gastronomy, especially, of its typical “pescaito frito” (little fried fish), in one of the best restaurants of this specialty, “Puro Pescaito”. You can taste a menu consisting in: Welcome drink / variation of seafood: two big grilled prawns, plate of boiled shrimps and steamed mussels/ Fried fish: selection of the best fried fish of Malaga composed of octopus, anchovies and little squids/ Glass of local wine, beer or soft drink/ Dessert: Homemade cheesecake, with cream and strawberry syrup.
Music Museum
This museum has an important collection of musical instruments from around the world, and all periods, and many of them, can be played. It has an important collection of musical instruments, from around the world and from all periods, and provides “please play” rooms, in which, the public is encouraged to learn through their own experimentation. Is not only to see different musical instruments, is about the knowledge of the different cultures that exist in the world through their music.
Glass Museum
The museum is located in a carefully restored 18th century house, where we can browse through the history of humanity by means of the glass. It is a private collection of more than 3.000 pieces of glass of different epochs, accompanied by pictures, furniture and decorative objects in a setting that corresponds to each historical period represented.
Meeting/pick-up point: The voucher must be exchanged by Malaga City Card for the Manners Route at the Music Museum, where the staff will validate your card and record the current date. At this time, your card will remain active and you can continue using it until the end of its period of validity of 72 hours.
