Il programma nel dettaglio

Vienna lights up at night and there’s no better way to appreciate its illuminated beauty than this dazzling evening walk. See the Opera House, St Stephen’s Cathedral, the Hofburg Palace, the Spanish Riding School and much more. Hear all about the cuisine, people, culture and architecture that have made Vienna one of the greatest cities in the world and also receive great advice from your guides on places to visit such as where to find the best bars, restaurants and cafés.

Begin your adventure at the stunning State Opera, which opened in 1869 with a performance of Mozart’s Don Giovanni towards the unassuming Capuchin Church, where the imperial crypt is located. Pause for a moment of quiet contemplation at the eighth century Romanesque Ruprechtskirch, Vienna’s oldest church. Stroll along the elegant, pedestrianised shopping streets of the Kohlmarkt and admire the amazing Albertina museum.

See the sensational St Stephen’s Cathedral with its impossibly tall. Gothic spire and multicoloured roof slates. Marvel at the monumental Michaelerplatz, where Roman ruins share the square with a beautiful baroque church and a wing of the Hofburg imperial palace. Continue to the Josefsplatz and Spanish Riding School, both of which are in the elegant environs of the Hofburg. Take in the vast size of Heldenplatz, dedicated to Austria’s military heroes. Head to the majestic Maria-Theresien-Platz, location of the Art History Museum and on to the Museum Quarter, which hosts the Museum of Modern Art (MUMOK), the Leopold Museum and the Architecture Centre among others.
