The city that flourished through transportation links created along its waterways has to be seen from the river to be fully appreciated! The Chicago Land and River Architectural tour takes you on a relaxed shoreline cruise, allowing sights of the beautiful Chicago skyline, whilst also being privileged to a two hour narrated sightseeing tour of the city itself. The perfect combination of land and water views allows the city to become fully vivid and familiar in your mind as an old friend.
Guests ride in our sightseeing coach first, exploring the heart of the city teeming with life, business, art and architecture. See all the highlights of downtown incuding the world’s first skyscraper and some of Chicago’s most popular parks, such as Millenium Park and the Lincoln Park. Admire the South Shore, former residence of numerous notable figures including Kanye West and First Lady Michelle Obama.
Then board the cruise liner from Chicago as guests of the Lake Boat company for a 90 minute cruise past the Chicago locks and along the Chicago River, which is famous for being dyed a spectacular green colour each year to celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day. Then cruise along Lake Michigan, taking in the navy pier, the Coast Guard Station and the boat harbours. Spot some of the locations you have just visited as you leisurely drift along the city’s impressive skyline as you enjoy a Starbucks coffee and muffins or lemonade. The four hour tour is the most comprehensive and memorable means by which to appreciate a truly spectacular city.
