Lacock, which dates back to Saxon times, has to be one of Britain’s prettiest and most immaculately preserved villages. With its limewashed, half-timbered and stone-built houses it has provided a picturesque backdrop to a host of film and TV productions, including Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, Emma and the Harry Potter movies.



Lacock Abbey, located at the heart of the village within its own woodland grounds, is a quirky country house built on the foundations of a nunnery, which still keeps its exquisite medieval cloisters intact. Our next port of call is Bath, a beautiful Georgian city that has been declared a Unesco World Heritage Site for its breathtaking Regency architecture and elegant crescents. Here you can visit the extraordinary Roman Baths that gave the city its name and see the hot springs that attracted the Romans and still flow to this day.



Stonehenge is another immensely impressive monument, also a Unesco World Heritage Site, and you will have the chance to beat the crowds with a private viewing that enables you to see these mysterious prehistoric stones up close and in person.
