This fascinating 10 hour excursion is an ideal opportunity to visit some of England’s most important sights and attractions.

The legendary Leeds Castle sits on an island surrounded by a moat in beautifully landscaped parklands. It is one of the most historic fortresses in the country and was the favourite residence of Edward I (of Braveheart infamy). Enjoy a guided tour of the castle, which was described by Lord Conway as ‘the loveliest castle in the world’ before heading to Dover.

Dover port was the main point of entry to England since Roman times and the white cliffs have captured the imagination of visitors. From the coach, you will see the ancient castle that has guarded the country from invaders. Continue on to Canterbury, which is dominated by a glorious Gothic cathedral, it has been the ecclesiastical capital of England since the sixth century. The cathedral was the scene of one of the most notorious murders in English history, when Archbishop Thomas Becket was killed by four knights. Pause for lunch near the cathedral before heading for Greenwich.

See the famous Royal Observatory, location of the Prime Meridian, from where the world’s clocks got their time. Admire the vast Old Royal Naval College along the waterfront before boarding the boat for the river cruise to London’s Embankment Pier, where the tour ends.
