Venture where few people have ventured before and get up close to the most feared predators on the planet. Step out of your comfort zone into a truly terrifying and mesmerising space where our resident sharks can come and sniff you out!
Overcome your fears in this mind blowing experience that might just change your mind about these widely misunderstood creatures. Just a wire mesh will stand between you and these spectacular animals for the most personal encounter. You’ll be provided with a special helmet that allows a crystal clear view of every twist and turn and you’ll get to know these fascinating animals in our own private reef. Be immersed into 300,000 gallons of water where our ten native Hawaiian sharks roam and prowl in the misty depths for an experience that will take your breath away.
With the Shark Trek you also have general admission to the park grounds, spectacular shows and exciting exhibits during the regular opening hours. Situated between the majestic Koolau Mountain Range and Makapu’u Beach, the location couldn’t be more perfect for a wickedly wild day out.
Meeting/pick-up point: From select Waikiki hotels. Guests must contact Sea Life Park 48 hours prior to tour for exact pick-up time and location.
Duration: Shark Trek total time is 30 minutes. Water time is approximately 20 minutes.
Start/opening time: From January to May and September to December – 9:30am to 4pm. From June to August – 9:30am to 4:30pm. Please note that the operation hours are subject to change.
