Hop aboard and discover the charm of the Port of Hamburg, one of the city’s most delightful landmarks and the ‘Gateway to the World’. Big in both size and character, the largest port in Germany has a lot to offer, and with this boat tour you’ll see it at its best.
Starting at the Landungsbrücken (Landing Bridges), home to the renowned Sunday morning Fish Market, we cruise to the famous docks of Blohm und Voss shipyard and show you one of the largest container terminals in the world, Toller Ort. You’ll be equally impressed when we pass through a sluice with up to five metres difference in water level, a truly exciting experience. It’s then full steam ahead to Ballinstadt, a museum of emigration, to Miniatur Wunderland, and to the historic warehouse complex to witness the traditions of Hamburg’s merchant workers. Next, see the modern side to the harbour at HafenCity, home to the largest development project in Germany, the Elbphilharmonie concert hall.
This boat tour will take you to the heart and soul of Hamburg’s port for you to discover the unexpected charm and character of the city’s lifeline.
