Il programma nel dettaglio
Our first stop in this 8 hours tour is the Hilltribe museum, where you will have the chance to see an exhibition on the tribal culture you will encounter during our trip. The Hilltribe museum is a benefit organization which helps to preserve hill tribes´ culture. After learning all about this fast disappearing culture, we head to the pier on the Kok River.
We make the short trip to the Karen village Ban Ruam Mitr by local long tail boat. Here your elephant ride awaits. This scenic ride lasts about one hour and will provide endless photo opportunities as you ride along admiring the wonderful views over the surrounding countryside. The elephant ride ends at a Yao village.
Your guide will explain everything about the people that live in these low hill villages. Yao women are noted by their traditional dresses, decorated with magnificent cross-stich embroidery.
We will then take a break and relax whilst we enjoy a picnic lunch before we continue to the Huay Mae Sai waterfall. We will visit an Akha village close to the waterfall. The Akha are probably amongst the most exotics of tribes in Thailand. Your guide will explain all about their interesting culture.
The tour comes to an end and we then meet our driver who will transfer us back to Chiang Rai.
