From the Cathedral to the Ramblas, the Gothic Quarter to Barceloneta, experience the full glory of this Mediterranean metropolis.
Wander leisurely through the beautiful and vibrant streets of Barcelona as you soak up the atmosphere and experience the sights and sounds of one of Europe’s cultural capitals. The tour begins at the Cathedral in the Gothic Quarter. Dating back to the 11th century, the Cathedral is one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture in Barcelona. Proceed to the old crafts market in Ribera to admire the skills of local craftsmen and walk through the Parc de la Ciutadella with its green lakes and fountains.
Experience the lively coastal area of La Barceloneta with its Sandy beaches, palm-lined streets and a whole host of bars and restaurants. Admire the sculptures of Rebecca Horn and Frank Gehry before walking back towards Barcelona’s famous old town to finish the tour. Explore its narrow winding streets and learn all about the history of the oldest district of the city as your guide gives you a Catalan history lesson and points out all the most significant places. End the tour at a pleasant café just around the corner from the Ramblas.
