Come face to face with the dragons of Barcelona. This exciting tour that is guaranteed to be bags of fun for the whole family invites you to discover the beautiful Gothic District of Barcelona by going to meet the various dragons that have nestled in its stony nooks and corner.
In times of old, hordes upon hordes of dragons came flying to this iconic city and decided to make it their comfortable home. And of course, it was the twisted and labyrinthine streets of the Gothic District that most appealed to them, probably reminding them of the caves they usually inhabited in lands of myth and magic. There were in fact so many dragons in Barcelona, they started to call in Drakcelona (being “drac” the local word for “dragon”). Now, after centuries of expectant silence, the dragons awake and are the ideal hosts to teach their honorable visitors all about the fascinating history and architecture of this unparalleled city.
They are the eternal guardians of the city, and they keep an eye on it by sitting on church walls, on street corners and by laying hidden in many other spaces that will take you completely by surprise.
