Zoom around ancient Athens faster than Athena herself with one of a range of speedy Segway tours. The two-wheeled Segway is a self-balancing, battery-powered vehicle. Easy to learn, Segway lets you explore the city quickly, greenly and effortlessly with your tour guide at your side.

Choose the hour-long Keramikos and Agora tour to take in Keramikos, the first public cemetery of antiquity, and the ancient Agora marketplace at the heart of the city. Or spend an hour unravelling the history of Greek democracy. On this tour we see the awe-inspiring Acropolis, crown of the city and universal symbol of the spirit of Greece. We also ascend the Pnyx hill, the birthplace of Greek democracy where the early Athenians hosted their popular assemblies. Perhaps you’d like to spend more time exploring the Acropolis area. If so, our two-hour Acropolis Tour is for you. Breeze through the tiny streets of Thissio, Plaka and Monastiraki, with stops at the new Acropolis Museum and at the small Mars Hill where St Paul once spoke. We’ll also see the beautifully preserved Temple of Hephaestus, the Agora and Hadrian's Library with its mighty pillars.

If you fancy escaping the Athenian heat, the two-hour National Garden Tour is perfect. Cool off meandering down shady pathways through the Athenians’ favourite green spot. Gaze up at Hadrian’s Arch and the colossal columns of the Temple of Zeus. Say hello to the ducks that wander the Zappion Gardens, then get political with stops at the Parliament building and the Presidential Mansion.
