See the unique beauties of Montenegro for just 5 days. From Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro we will go to the north of the country and visit Žabljak – the highest town in the Balkans and ski center, Durmitor National Park (1980 included in UNESCO), Black Lake and Đurđevića Tara bridge., Cetinje - Old royal capital, Njeguši village with tasting of national traditional delicacies, drive along Lovćen Serpentine - roadside tourist attraction, to Kotor - one of the top 10 European destinations under UNESCO protection, Budva - Montenegrin tourism metropolis. In the train tour you will have a view of a canyon of Platije and visit Kolašin - "an air spa", Biogradska Gora National Park - one of the three remaining rainforests in Europe,

In this arrangement by help of 'Monte Mare Travel' you will be able to see unique beauties of Montenegro for only 5 days.  From Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro we will go to the North of the country and visit Žabljak – the highest town in Balkan and ski center, National park Durmitor (1980 included in UNESCO), Black lake and Đurđevića Tara bridge. Then, through ‘Montenegro tour’ you will visit Cetinje - Old Royal Capital, village Njeguši with tasting national traditional specialties, then drive along Lovćen Serpentine – road tourist attraction, to the Kotor - one of the top 10 Europe destinations under UNESCO protection and Budva – metropolis of Montenegrin tourism. For the last day, it is predicted tour by train with a view on a canyon of Platije that persists through the vertical rocks and cliffs, which climb high and up to 1,000 meters above sea level.You will also be able to see Kolašin – ''an aerial spa'', National Park Biogradska Gora – one of the three remaining rainforests in Europe, Biogradsko lake, Morača monastery (est. 1252).

Program

Day 1:
Arrival at the airport (Podgorica or Tivat) or port (Kotor/Bar/Tivat). Accommodation in 4-star hotel in Podgorica. City sightseeing.
We will welcome you to the airport, and then head towards Podgorica.
Check – in hotel.
Meeting at an agreed time, and start easy walking through the city accompanied by a guide – approx. 1 hour and a half.
We start the tour from the Republic Square - the main city square. We will pass through Bokeška Street with nice cafes and urban look, a favorite place for young people to go out. We will see the Millennium Bridge that represents the visual identity of the city. We will visit the Sastavci or the Skaline - the oldest bridge in Podgorica, according to the historical facts that was established during the Roman rule. We will visit the Clock Tower and the Old Town located in the very heart of Podgorica which preserves rich historical and cultural heritage. The most beautiful example of architecture remaining from the Turkish period is the Clock Tower, which is a symbol of Podgorica. It still dominates the area of Old Town with its height. In the end we visit St. George Church which dates from the IX-XI century; belongs to the oldest active worship of the Christian chapel in the area of Montenegro and beyond.
Back to the hotel. Free time. Overnight stay.

Day 2:
Žabljak – National Park Durmitor (Black Lake) - Đurđevića Tara bridge
Breakfast at the hotel.
Driving towards Žabljak - Duration of journey about 3 hours.
Arrival at Žabljak. Tour of the National Park – approx. 1h 30 min.
Driving towards the Đurđevića Tara bridge – approx. 30 min.
Enjoying the view from one of the most beautiful bridges in Europe. Free time for refreshment at the bar near the bridge, walking by the bridge, or for those bravest ZIP LINE - optionally.
Lunch – approx. 1h and 30 min.
Return. Arriving at the hotel. Free time. Overnight stay.

Day 3:
Cetinje - Njeguši village – Lovćen Serpentine - Kotor – Budva
Breakfast.
Driving to Cetinje – approx. 30 min.
Arrival at Cetinje. City sightseeing: Cetinje Monastery, Ćipuri church, the former Njegoš’s residence - Biljarda, King Nikola’s museum, the Presidential Palace (duration approx. 1h).
Driving towards Njeguši. Arrival at the Njeguši village. Tasting of traditional products in the oldest tavern of this type in Montenegro - from 1881 (about 1h and 30 min).
Driving the Lovćen serpentine (duration approx. 1h and 20min). A pause for taking photos on the road for which there is a story that the designer Joseph Slade has devoted this route to princess Milena, so this part of route is in the form of the initial letter of her name.
Coming to Kotor. City sightseeing: the Old Town, the Square of Arms, the Cathedral of St. Tryphon, the Church of St. Luke, the Cat Square – approx. 1 h.
Lunch at the one of the most famous restaurants in the city (about 1h).
Driving towards Budva (about 30 min).
Old Town sightseeing: beautiful churches, squares, Citadela. Enjoying in a walk in the winding streets and a beautiful marina (approx. 1 hour).
Return. Arriving at the hotel. Free time. Overnight stay.

Day 4:
Local Traditional Winery – Skadar lake cruising tour – Bar – Old Town Bar – Old Olive Tree – Ulcinj Old Town
Breakfast at the hotel.
Driving towards Local Traditional Winery (approx. 30 minutes). Wine tasting – three types of wine and snack - approx. 45 min.
Continuing drive to Skadar lake (approx. 30 min).
Arrival at Virpazar, a fishing village with charming stone houses. A short walk. Free time for climbing on the Besac fortress - the most attractive viewpoint on the Skadar Lake, or drinking coffee at one of the restaurants – optionally (approx. 20 min).
Start of cruising. The cruise lasts about 1hour and 30 minutes. You will see fishing villages, cultural and historical monuments, the flora and fauna of the lake, and take swim in the lake.
After cruising, having lunch in unrepeatable ambience – approx. 1 h 30 min.
Continuing drive to the Old Town Bar – approx. 30 min.
Visiting one of the oldest archaeological sites in the world. Old Olive Tree visit – total approx.1 h.
Continuing drive towards Ulcinj (approx. 1 hour).
Easy walk through picturesque medieval, narrow and winding streets, and a view of duplex and three-story stone houses and decorative elements of the Renaissance and Baroque style, as well as numerous valuable buildings from the Ottoman period – (approx. 1 hour).
Back to the hotel. Free time. Overnight stay.

Day 5:
Transfer to the airport (Podgorica or Tivat) or port (Kotor/Bar/Tivat)
Breakfast. Check – out. Free time. Transfer to the airport or port. The end of the arrangement.
