Feel like Lawrence of Arabia as you ride on the back of a swaying camel through the magnificent Maspalomas Sand Dunes, a protected nature reserve and one of the must-see attractions on the Canary Islands.
A trek through this stunning natural environment that can only be entered on foot or by camel is an absolute must for anybody passing through Gran Canaria. The Dunes are the habitat of many plants, some of which are unique to the Canary Islands and you’ll be amazed by how they manage to survive in such an arid, hostile environment together with lizards and rabbits.
Ride a camel through the Maspalomas Nature Reserve and observe nature in its rawest and most authentic state. You’ll get uninterrupted views over the Dunes and you’ll see the soft ripples in the sand as these gentle giants gracefully tread along the ground. A camel ride through the desert is a highlight for any visitor to the island and is a great adventure for all the family.

Please be aware that during July and August the departure time is determined by order of arrival, therefore, to avoid queuing, we recommend that you arrive between 9am and 10:30am. Please keep in mind that during peak times (after 11am) there may be longer waiting times than normal.
Due to high demand, in July and August organised groups can only visit between 9am and 10am.
