Elite soldiers from the British military, also known as the Household Division, have been dutifully guarding the monarch since 1660. During the ceremony, immaculately turned out guards from the New Guard arrive to assume responsibility for protecting Buckingham Palace.
Accompanied by a regimental marching band, the soldiers of the Household Division are instantly recognisable in their bearskin caps and scarlet tunics.
Morning tour end point: Trafalgar Square
Your tour concludes at Trafalgar Square where you can conveniently access the London Underground, National Rail Services from Charing Cross Station, London Bus Services, or local taxi services.
Your afternoon independently visiting top attractions
This combination allows you to enjoy your visits to Madame Tussauds London and The London Eye independently. Your morning tour concludes at Trafalgar Square at approximately 12 noon. You will have time to take a break for lunch (not included) with recommendations being either the local coffee shops and cafes near Trafalgar Square or along Piccadilly to Green Park which is within walking distance.
You will need to travel in the afternoon section at your own expense - an Oyster card is an affordable option to either travel by tube or bus. 'Baker Street' is the closest tube station to Madame Tussauds London, located on Marylebone Road, London NW1 5LR. You will need to begin your visit to Madame Tussauds between 2:00pm-2:30pm.
Madame Tussauds London
Visit one of London's top attractions and explore the incredible, lifelike waxwork replicas of more than 250 celebrities and historical icons in various themed galleries. Walk down the red carpet and strike a pose with Hollywood's hottest celebrities, challenge your favourite sports idols or sit down for an audience with British royalty.
Madame Tussauds London is the original home of the world's most famous wax attraction. Siruated on its current location since 1884, it boasts the largest collection of figures worldwide, including original figures made by Madame Tussaud herself and her mentor Dr. Philippe Curtius along with grisly artefacts dating back to the French Revolution.
A highlight of the visit is 'The Spirit of London' taxi ride through 400 years of London's history complete with moving animatronic wax figures that tell the story of London's exceptional past.
Created in close collaboration with Disney and Lucasfilm, Star Wars™ at Madame Tussauds is a unique, immersive experience included in the ticket price and starring extraordinarily life-like wax figures of the favourite heroes and villains of Star Wars™ Episodes I-VI.
The figures will appear in authentic walk-in sets inspired by key scenes from the movies. Dynamic special effects will add to the immersion, as fans step right into, and star in, some of the most iconic moments in film history.
Marvel Entertainment and Madame Tussauds London have joined forces to create a unique new experience: "Marvel Super Heroes 4D". This exhibition brings to life some of the world's best-loved Super Heroes through a mix of 4D animation, interactive themed areas and startlingly realistic wax figures.
Atmospheric sets will conjure up the high-tech Super Hero world of S.H.I.E.L.D (Supreme Headquarters International Espionage Law-enforcement Division), and you will be able to get up close to wax figures of six of Marvel's most famous names - Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, Wolverine, Nick Fury and The Invisible Woman.
On arrival please proceed to the Box Office presenting your ticket. The QR code will be scanned and you can then enter the attraction. Your booked time-slot allows you to commence your visit between 2pm-2:30pm. The average dwell time is between 1.5 - 2 hrs. On exiting Madame Tussauds we would recommend taking the tube to either 'Westminster' or 'Waterloo' (Jubilee Line) for the London Eye.
The London Eye - Standard Ticket
Standing tall on the south bank of the River Thames, nothing says iconic quite like The London Eye. Set in the heart of the London, enjoy incredible views of Big Ben, The Houses of Parliament and Buckingham Palace and panoramic views that, on a clear day, stretch as far as Windsor Castle.
Also included with your visit is the revolutionary 4D Cinema Experience - the first-ever, live-action 4D attraction film produced in the UK and the only 3D aerial footage of London. The 4D Expeience is situated inside the ticket office in County Hall and can be enjoyed either before or after your flight on the London Eye.
On arrival please proceed directly to the boarding line taking your voucher with you. The QR code will be scanned before you board the observation wheel itself. Your booked time is between 5:00pm-5:30pm.
