General information

Destination

Program details

If you’re a fan of the Floyd then this is for you; a near perfect day discovering the musical roots and early adventures of one of the world’s greatest bands. ‘Walls, Moons and Flying Pigs’… Pink Floyd were a band of two cities – the ancient, medieval university city of Cambridge, and the UK’s capital of London.

This great tour combines the two and gives you a chance to see one of England’s most attractive and historic cities and parts of London you’d otherwise not see, while exploring the Floyd’s heritage. In Cambridge, see the early homes of Gilmour, Waters and Barrett, their schools and colleges, early gig sites and important reference points like ‘Granchester Meadows’ and Syd’s final home. Enjoy a short walking tour of the historic city and university!

Then to North London, in neighbourhoods Islington, Hampstead and Highgate, see Floyd’s own Britannia Row Studios, the school that provided the school kids choir on ‘The Wall’, the only London apartment shared by all members of the band, various band member’s London homes, the famed ‘Ally Pally’ – location of the ’14-hour Technicolour Dream’ – UFO club sites, and Abbey Road recording studios! Please note; normally we do not get to south London to see Battersea Power Station, the cover of ‘Animals,’ but you can see that on our Classic Rock Legends afternoon tour.
