Located just 40 minutes from the port, Pattaya Floating Market is one of the country’s most popular attractions. Founded in 2008, the market spans the riverside and showcases the many different cultures and ways of life across Thailand. The market is divided into four areas, each of which represents one of Thailand’s four main regions.
You will explore the market by boat, cruising along the waterways and sampling some of the finest foods and local handicrafts on offer. The small and large differences between each of the represented regions throughout the market is fascinating and are part of what makes this market unique.
During the tour, you will enjoy traditional Thai performances, gain a deeper understanding of Thai life and culture, and see how the ancient riverside communities lived. We will also visit the “Traditional Thai Ways of Village Life” learning center where you can witness demonstrations by locals of traditional techniques such as massage, silk production, and cooking.
Once the boat tour is finished you will have some free time to sample the foods, grab some lunch, and enjoy the daily activities in the market.
Last stop is Pattaya Beach Road, this area is home to lots of speedboats, parasailing and jet skis, diving boats and restaurants. You will see a line of palm trees standing close to the shore. Enjoy the scenic beauty of a remarkable cityscape and sandy beach here and take some free time for shopping and browsing around this area before heading back to the port.
After allowing ample time to explore, we will depart back to Laem Chabang port with plenty of time to spare before your ship’s departure.
