General information

Destination
Playa del Carmen/Riviera Maya, Mexico

Program details

When the first lights of the morning illuminate the sky of the Riviera Maya, we will pick you up at the hotel and head to Cancun, where one of the most important natural complexes in the country is located: Reserva Nativa. In this great jungle enclosure of the Yucatan Peninsula we will have the opportunity to see hundreds of birds from all over the world.

Following the indigenous tradition, we will celebrate a welcome ritual to ask for permission and protection of the aluxes. Afterwards, we will dress with the binoculars, the cane and all the necessary equipment and we will enter the jungle of Reserva Nativa in silence, so as not to scare away the birds that still sleep.

During the walk we will meet quail, ocellated turkeys and cardinals of colorful plumage. We will also have the opportunity to see toucans, hummingbirds and lovebirds in flight. A unique opportunity!

To get an overview of the animal life of the jungle, we will go up to the observation platform of Reserva Nativa and enjoy panoramic views of the landscape. Then, we will go to the Nativa Historical and Natural Museum to know in more detail the origin and characteristics of each bird.

In addition, we will leave the best for last: a refreshing swim in the pool of Reserva Nativa and a delicious breakfast in the main palapa. You will take an unforgettable memory!
