Experience Athens’ ancient wonders in a single morning. You’ll see the Parthenon before most of the crowds, take in the treasures of the New Acropolis Museum and explore the streets of the Plaka, all in the company of a local, expert guide.
Your tour starts early so you are among the first through the gates of the Acropolis when it opens. Once inside, You’ll pause at some ancient theatres then head up the hill to see the Parthenon before many of the crowds arrive. Enjoy the view from the top while your guide tells you the history surrounding Athens’ most iconic landmark then continue your Acropolis tour, including the Erechtheum, Monumental Gateway, and more.
Next, you’ll head down into the Ancient Greek Agora to explore the temples and ruins that were once Athens’ civic centre, including the jaw-dropping Temple of Hephaestus. Then head into the neighbourhood of Plaka - Athens’ most historic and vibrant area, for a city stroll which stops in front of the Roman Agora so you can take in the first ever weather station, the Tower of the Winds.
