  • Enjoy an intimate group of 15 people or fewer giving you great access to your local, English-speaking guide.

Be the first through the gates of the Acropolis to take a guided tour of the Parthenon before the crowds show up. This half-day tour is specially timed and curated to give you a crowd -free experience of the Parthenon and learn what makes it the most imitated building in the history of architecture. It also includes all the other major attractions on the Acropolis and a guided visit to the New Acropolis Museum where you’ll see the world-famous Parthenon Friezes, as well as the beautiful statues that adorned the Acropolis over 2000 years ago, featuring the famous Caryatids.

Athens’ premier attraction is also its most crowded. That’s why this tour uses skip the line tickets and a sp ecially-timed itinerary to ensure you are among the first people to see the Parthenon when it opens in the morning. While most groups visit the various temples and monuments as they walk up the hill, you’ll march straight to the Parthenon, one of the most famous and influential buildings in history. You’ll learn some of its secrets, take in stunning views of the city, and enjoy a full tour of the Acropolis highlights, like the Erechtheon, Monumental Gateway, Temple of Athena Nike and the Theater of Dionysus.

Heading down the hill, you'll once again use skip the line tickets to enter the New Acropolis Museum, where all the artistic treasures that once adorned the Acropolis are now kept. First are the Caryatids, enormous statues of women what once supported the entablature of the Erechtheon (the ones you saw on the actual temple are recreations). Then you’ll see the famous Parthenon Marbles, which depict a mythic battle, and learn about the very real battle that still surrounds their ownership and exhibition. The morning tour ends in the museum, so you can spend more time exploring the collection.

If you prefer an evening tour, you'll skip the line and begin with a guided visit with your expert guide at the New Acropolis Museum. From there, you and your small group will walk to the Acropolis and arrive at the Parthenon after the crowds have left and the sun begins to set on Athens. The full tour of the Acropolis continues and then concludes at the Theater of Dionysus, the oldest theater in the world.
