Enjoy this dazzling insight into the golden era of the Louis XIV.
The king was renowned for his flamboyance and luxuriant tastes, specially his love of the big occasion, which he liked to celebrate with water games. His soubriquet of the Sun King came from the idea that he brought the light into people’s lives. To this day, he is still revered by many in republican France because of his legacy, the greatest being Versailles.
At nightfall, the gardens and fountains come to life in a sound and light show, creating a stunning visual display. The fireworks on the Grand Canal illuminate these treasures and bring an end to the evening: fire, water, sculptures and baroque music make this an unforgettable summer night out.
Join us for this intimate glimpse of the lifestyles of France’s gilded monarchs.
