Get ready for an
evening of music, dancing and delicious local food.
As soon as you arrive in Kato Karouzana, take the time to stroll along its charming paths, decorated with colourful bougainvillea-covered archways and perfumed with the enticing scent of honeysuckle.
Say hello to the villagers waiting in their courtyards to welcome you, browse the village displays, have your photo taken with a couple in traditional costume and meet our donkey, Michalis.
Taste raki, the local brandy, and learn a little more about its production before learning about local wine making. Visit an old wine press and learn about grape pressing techniques.
What's more, in grape season (September to October), you can enter the wine press and take part in the pressing of the grapes.
Next, visit a traditional house and admire the weavings of a weaving factory.
Explore a local museum and see artefacts from ancient Greece, pop into a café and make a Greek coffee on the embers and admire the saddles of Crete's last saddle maker.
Finally, explore a pottery workshop, a traditional wine cellar, a hagiography workshop and a folk art shop.
After all of that, put on your dancing shoes and attend a show that brings you the
traditional and folkloric dances of Crete accompanied by local songs and songs from all over the country.
Learn to move like a Cretan and feast on the open wine bar and buffet-style dinner.
