Program details
Rural Mallorca has been one of our most successful excursions in the last years. For that reason we look to improve it every year making some changes both to continue attracting those who are looking for a unique and authentic way of experiencing the island as we continue to offer something new for repeat customers. This tour is not comparable to any other existing excursion available in the island. It is by far the best way to discover the real and most authentic Mallorca as we take you on a special tour through the countryside and to places away from the tourist bustle. The perfect ways to enjoy yourself as you dig a little deeper into the History of the island.
Mingle with the locals, discover some of our traditional wine cellars, visit a history packed inland town as you learn a little about one of Mallorca’s most special traditions, go and give a try at putting together some typical Mallorcan dishes all washed down with plenty of rustic wine.
Once we have picked everybody up we head inland towards Sa Pobla. Sa Pobla is a traditional town that is very different to the touristy resorts were hotels are. It is place rich in culture with a charming historic centre. There you will have the opportunity to discover the festivity of Sant Antoni, important for the whole island but that Sa Pobla is especially known for celebrating since the Middle Ages. You will get an insight by watching a video and visiting the museum dedicated to the festivity. Once the visit ends you will have free time during which you can explore the town’s centre.
Then we drive to Binissalem and once we are there you can take a look around the small local market as we stroll around.
In Binissalem we also visit a typical wine cellar as this is Mallorca’s most important wine region. There our clients have the opportunity to take part in a wine tasting demonstration (payable locally). For those who are not interested in the wine tasting, in Binissalem there is the opportunity to visit a traditional Mallorcan townhouse where you will be able to see the typical architecture of an old mallorcan house.
We continue to the village of Santa Maria where we will make our lunch stop. Lunch consists of a pa amb oli, trampo salad and mallorcan pizza with fresh fruit. This is all washed down with free flowing local wine from Binissalem.
During lunch drinks are included: you can drink as much water and wine as you want, so we'll probably be singing on the bus on the way back!
After lunch we will be back on our coach to make our way back to the resort.
