Program details
See the city's famous historical landmarks and cultural sites on a half-day tour of Istanbul:
We will go to the
Hippodrome, the center of sporting activities in Constantinople, capital of the Byzantine Empire, now called Sultanahmet Meydani, with its monuments; the German Fountain of Wilhelm II, the Egyptian Obelisk, the Serpentine Column.
Then, we will go to the
Blue Mosque (Sultanahmet Mosque) built by the architect Mimar Sedefkar Mehmet Aga, and the traditional point of pilgrimage to Mecca until the 19th century.
Afterward, we will continue to the
Hagia Sophia Museum, the most famous Christian church in Turkey, one of the greatest architectural marvels, built as a basilica in the 6th century by Emperor Justinian.
Finally, we will get to know the
Grand Covered Bazaar, known as the
most attractive shopping centre in the world, with nearly 4000 shops selling antiques, jewellery, gold, carpets, leather goods and souvenirs.
Important information
Hagia Sophia is closed on Mondays, instead, you will visit the Underground Cistern (subject to change).
Blue Mosque is closed on Fridays.
Grand Bazaar is closed on Sundays.
