Program details

Save time and skip the long queues to visit the Vatican Museums, the largest collection of Catholic art. Learn a little more about the history of the museums and take a semi-private guided tour of the Raphael Rooms, the four famous rooms which contain Raphael's fundamental frescoes. Head to the Pine Courtyard, and admire the Fontana della Pigna or "The Pine Cone" an enormous bronze sculpture that once sprouted water.

Continue with a visit to the Pio Clementine Museum, which houses the private collection of Pope Julius II's Greek and Roman sculptures. No visit to the museums is complete without passing through the Gallery of Maps, the Gallery of Tapestries, and the impressive Gallery of the Candelabra, home to the giant candelabra and impressive marble monuments.

Enter the Sistine Chapel and contemplate Michaelangelo's most famous frescoes, such as “The Last Judgement” and “The Creation of Adam”.
