Program details

Enjoy a guided tour of the Palace of Versailles. Originally constructed as a hunting lodge for Louis XIII, this lavish building was extended over several decades on request of King Louis XIV. Located on the outskirts of Paris the large palace exudes the luxury and opulence in which Royalty lived; in the rooms you will find delicate furniture, beautiful and precious decorative items and priceless paintings and sculptures.

The Palace of Versailles was chosen as the location for the signing of the Treaty of Versailles, putting an end to the devastation of the First World War. You will not only be astonished by the interior of the palace, but also by the magnificent gardens, spread over 800 hectares and considered to be a work of art in its own right. Get lost in paths and discover a variety of forests, ponds, sculptures, and fountains.

One of the main attractions of the Palace are the fountains. Between March and November, you will be captivated by the marvellous fountains, dancing to the sound of Baroque. It will be hard not to feel like a member of the Royal Court.
