The Scottish Castles hide hundreds of legends. The Castle of Glamis is considered one of the most enchanted castles in Europe, probably due to its connection with King Macbeth. Home of the Lyon family, its members include the Queen Mother who spent her childhood in Glamis. Dunnottar Castle is the great fortress that controls the North Sea.



How the itinerary is structured:

North Queensferry - Glamis Castle - Stonehaven - Dunnottar Castle - Dundee

Only during the summer season from April 4th to November 5th



From Edinburgh to North Queensferry. Heading north, we will cross the Forth Fjord and the North Queensferry fishing village. Its houses, its alleys and the views of the bridges of the Forth are the best way to start a dream journey.



First Stage

● We will arrive at the first of the castles that we will see on this tour: the castle of Glamis. He was a silent witness to the omidicio of King Duncan by Macbeth. The legends, ghosts and curses that surround the Scottish castles have accompanied the happiest days of the Queen Mother.

● Furniture, works of art and gardens are the things that attract the most attention. You will have the opportunity to hear the guide's explanations regarding a classic example of Victorian Gothic. Built in the 14th century, it houses almost all varieties of architectural styles in the United Kingdom.

● We will have lunch before continuing with our tour.



Second Stage

● From Glamis we will head to Dunnottar Castle. We will see the landscapes of Tayside and Aberdeenshire with its fields dedicated to agriculture. The influence of the North Sea will be present throughout the journey.

● The beautiful Dunnottar Castle is waiting for us. It was in a key position in the difficult years of the Independence Wars between the 13th and 14th centuries. Robert Bruce, the true fearless heart, freed him from the English hands. It has been a source of inspiration for writers, artists and directors thanks to its spectacular location on the cliffs of the Scottish coast.

Third Stage

● From Dunnottar, after the cliff shows, we will reach the bank of the Tay. The most important river on the east coast of Scotland. We will stop in Dundee, the capital of design and new technologies. It offers us beautiful views of the River Tay bridge and RSS Discovery, the ship that transported Captain Scott during the first expedition to the Arctic Circle.



Fourth Stage

● From Dundee we will arrive in Edinburgh. The final part of the route will see us crossing Silicon Glen, a Scottish silicon valley. Great industries, barley fields and lakes are mixed. It is a fundamental region for the Scottish economy. Moment when the guide will give you information and suggestions for what to do in Edinburgh.



Important: If the minimum number of participants is not reached (3-4 participants), the excursion in Italian will be combined with the excursion in Spanish. An Italian guide will accompany you throughout the tour and will explain to you through the headset the different stages of the tour.
