Program details

Take a day out from the hustle and bustle of the big city and visit the Salvador Dalí Museum at Figueres and the medieval city of Girona, an ideal complement to your stay in Barcelona.

The first stop is Figueres, where Dalí was born in 1904, and which is home to his parting gift to the world, the eclectic Teatre-Museu Dalí. The visit will help you gain a better understanding of this surrealist genius who managed to confound so many during his life. Admire the collection of paintings, sculptures, objects and installations from 1918 to 1982 such as Portrait of Gala with Two Lamb Chops Balanced on Her Shoulder and Face of Mae West Which Can Be Used as an Apartment. You will also have free time to explore the old town and to have lunch (not included) in one of the many traditional restaurants.

Continue to Girona where you can enjoy a two-hour guided walk around the medieval centre, which has one of the best-preserved Jewish quarters in Europe. Lose yourself in the maze of narrow streets, chancing upon landmarks such as the Arab Baths, the old city walls and the imposing cathedral, which incorporates Romanesque, Gothic and baroque styles.
