Program details

Here you will find over 2,000 m2 of galleries showcasing wonderful displays with nearly a thousand exhibits, including sarcophagi, mummies, jewellery and amulets, helping you towards a greater understanding of everyday life in the ancient civilisation of the Pharaohs. Displays include galleries dedicated to gods and Pharaohs as well as everyday artefacts, cosmetics, religion, work and eroticism.

The museum also offers guided tours of its collections led by learned Egyptologists, which are essential in order to give visitors a deeper understanding and knowledge of Egyptian culture and civilisation. In addition to the permanent collections and the temporary exhibitions, the museum also organises other activities which enable visitors to enjoy the collections in an entertaining, fun way.

Visit the museum in the evening and witness realistic enactments that will take you back 4000 years to the mysteries of the Nile. Or maybe you want to try the Eternal Banquet, a tour focussing on Ancient Egyptian cuisine where you can sample the foodstuffs eaten by the kings, priests, peasants and slaves of this ancient civilisation.
