Program details
This breathtaking combination tour includes the desert crossing in a 4WD vehicle, an exhilarating helicopter flight from the West Rim that descends into the canyon and a cruise on the mighty Colorado River.
Relive all your childhood dreams as you zoom across the Mojave in a journey perilously undertaken over the centuries by conquistadors, missionaries, cowboys and settlers. See the Hoover Dam, a 1930s feat of engineering that still marvels, and drive through a Joshua tree forest before arriving at the Grand Canyon West Rim.
Board a helicopter and soar into the sky to enjoy a bird’s-eye view of the gorge before descending more than 1,200 metres (4,000 feet) to the bottom of the canyon from where you will able to appreciate just how deep it is as you find yourself dwarfed by its sheer scale.
Jump on to a pontoon boat and sail along the Colorado River for 10 minutes. Look up in awe at the rims, made up layer upon layer of limestone, each a different shade of yellow, ochre, orange, red and brown...
Return to the rim for even more stunning views and a delicious barbecue. An optional extra is the Skywalk, a horseshoe-shaped, glass-bottomed viewing platform from which you can look down hundreds of metres below to the bottom of the canyon. It extends out more than 20 metres (70ft) from land, giving you the sensation of floating on air.
