Program details
Explore the West Rim and behold the majesty of the indescribable beauty created by the Colorado River over thousands of years as it cut into the raw red rock. This bird’s-eye tour offers the ultimate Grand Canyon experience in the shortest space of time.
Listening to expert commentary and with a specially chosen soundtrack designed to enhance what you are seeing, you will ascend high in the sky from Las Vegas and fly above the great expanse of the Mojave Desert, passing over Lake Mead and the Hoover Dam. Continue to the Grand Wash Cliffs of the Hualapai Indian Reservation. The Hualapai have lived on these lands for centuries and the souls of their forefathers are believed to still reside in the northwest.
The West Rim of the Grand Canyon is renowned for its colossal striped stone walls and several outstanding features that have made it one of the most popular areas. Among the many landmarks are Eagle Point and Guano Point, which sit more than 1,000 metres (3,500ft) above the Colorado River. From the helicopter, which has been designed for sightseeing and features an almost 180-degree field of view, you will be able to marvel at the brilliant layer upon layer of colours that adorn the two billion-year-old walls of the canyon, the true breath and scale of which can only be fully appreciated from the sky.
