General information

Destination

Program details

Begin this incredible tour with a stroll around the historic El Albaicin quarter where you can enjoy unforgettable views of the Alhambra illuminated against the Andalusian sky. This World Heritage Site retains the narrow winding streets and whitewashed houses of its Moorish past, bright red geraniums cascading down whitewashed walls, the air scented by jasmine, lemon blossom and rose. The oldest part dates back to the 11th Century with later constructions added by the Almohad and Nazrid dynasties. The whole area rises on a hill facing the Alhambra and you can enjoy spectacular views over the palace complex from the viewpoint near the Church of San Nicolas.

In the evening, make the climb to the lively area of Sacromonte, the Holy Mountain, and the traditional home of gypsy culture in Granada. As the sun goes down you’ll have a unique opportunity to experience the tragedy, joy and sheer sensuality of Andalusian culture through a genuine flamenco show inside a cave in the gypsy quarter of Sacromonte. Enjoy a traditional flamenco show at La Zambra, one of the city’s top tablaos, over drinks or dinner, as you prefer.
