Program details

Mallorca's tapas tradition started with La Crisis (Spain’s 2008 financial crisis), when the people of Mallorca suffered hard-times. Bars were empty and so the local bar owners of Palma met, decided to change this. This is how the "Ruta Martiana" was born! The genius concept is to offer affordable prices and one free drink with every tapa. From here on everything changed and created this new, revolutionary Tuesday tradition of uniting everyone with food and drink, forgetting worries and just having a great time with new friends. We think tapas should be enjoyed every night, not just Tuesdays and we want to share it with you!

Admire the little bars that offer up delicious tapas and pinchos paired up with a tasty glass of Spanish wine or ice-cold beer. From Spanish Omelette to Iberian Ham, you will be spoilt for choice!

Explore the cobbled, back streets of Palma and discover the uniqueness of each different bar, with their own little quirks and personalities. Let the knowledgeable guide help influence your tapas choices and inform you of the best option in each place as the never-ending tapas menus may be quite overwhelming to newcomers! It is the most beloved Spanish dinner ritual, and you can’t come to Mallorca without trying it!
