Wake up early to be picked up at by our comfortable microbus that will shuttle you all the way to Arenal Lake Dam. Once there, board a picturesque and entirely safe pontoon boat for a thrilling 40 minute ride to Rio Chiquito, a quaint little town located right on the other side of the lake. Arenal Lake is a sprawling sight of natural beauty where you will discover countless kinds of local and migratory birds that you had never seen before and will doubtlessly capture your imagination. You might even spot small mammals in the surroundings and breath-taking views of the Arenal Volcano.
Hop off the boat at Rio Chiquito, enjoy a short break to stretch your legs and jump onto the next short microbus ride to Monteverde. There you will go on a breath-taking hike where you will learn all about the region's birds, beds of moss and flowers, lichen and bromeliads. See even more wildlife with a visit to the frog pond or the serpentarium, and complete your experience with a trip to the world-renowned Cloud Forest. After lunch, head back to the hotel as you reminisce on the day's wonderful events.
