Step aboard a boat and enjoy a leisurely cruise along the Perfume River towards the beautiful Thien Mu Pagoda. This Mahayana Buddhist temple is a peaceful place to spend time. It's the oldest monastery in Hue, dating back to the 17th century. It is octagonal seven tier stupa, which has long been regarded as the symbol of Hue. The sanctuary itself is an impressive monument overlooking the Perfume River and offers a good view of the area.
Next, continue by boat to visit the Royal Tomb of King Ming Mang. Ming Mang is the finest of the imperial tombs, located in a harmonious garden with frangipani and lotus blossoms. Ming Mang reigned from 1820 to 1840; the tomb was constructed after his death by his heir, Thieu Tri. The atmosphere is one of peace and tranquility.
