Program details
The 19th-century King Inthawichayanon fought to preserve this fertile, mossy terrain. After his death, his remains were placed in a summit-topping shrine and the mountain was renamed in his honour. Today it is the centrepiece of Doi Inthanon National Park.
We’re taking you on an action-packed day trip including nature, culture, temples and panoramic views.
Sound good? If so, jump aboard as we explore...
Wachirathan Waterfall: Soon after arriving at the national park, we’ll visit this 80m waterfall often accompanied by a spectacular rainbow. Whilst watching the thundering white water, you’ll have your first taste of the untouched nature on this Doi Inthanon tour.
Sirithan Waterfall: Nestled in the cool pine forest, this 50m drop can be seen clearly from a viewing platform. Snap photos before we leave the forest behind and head to...
Twin Pagodas: Dedicated to the (now deceased) King and Queen of Thailand, these two gorgeous pagodas are named Napamatanee Don and Napaphon Bhumisiri. Both scenic spires can be seen towering above the forest, offering spectacular views out over the national park.
Angka Nature Trail: This 360m boardwalk through the forest is the perfect place to escape the more popular points in the park and get lost in your scenic surrounds. We’ll take a leisurely stroll and feel the power of Mother Nature.
Karen Tribe: Our final stop will be Sobhad village, a small village home to a community of Hmong tribespeople. Here you’ll have the chance to learn about their customs, observe daily life and purchase handicrafts that support their lifestyle.
