Prague, Czech Republic |
Enjoy the best of Prague in 6 hours. Take the tram to Prague Castle and stroll across the Charles Bridge to the Old Town. Also, try a traditional lunch including Czech beer, and experience a river cruise on the Vltava River. Meet your guide in the heart of the city, right next to the Charles Bridge, and embark on an exciting journey through time. During this unique tour, you will learn interesting details about Prague's more than millennia-long history and admire the extraordinary richness of Prague's architecture, the variety of architectural styles, and the art of the old masters who will accompany you every step of the way.
Along the romantic path across the Charles Bridge, you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of Prague Castle. On the other bank, the so-called Lesser Town, you will take the tram to Prague Castle, where the largest church in the Czech Republic awaits you: the imposing Gothic St. Vitus Cathedral. In the former imperial-royal residence, our guide will introduce you to the glorious history of the Bohemian Kingdom as well as its republican present.
Head back downhill to the Jewish Quarter, once one of the most important Jewish settlements in Europe. Here you will immerse yourself in the mysterious atmosphere of Jewish Prague and marvel at the numerous synagogues and the exceptionally well-preserved Old Jewish Cemetery. The highlight of the tour is a visit to the beautiful Old Town Square in the historical center of Prague. The old market square, founded in the 11th century, is dominated by the Gothic Teyn Church and the Old Town Hall. You will also see the astronomical Apostle's Clock, which has been chiming every hour on the hour for more than six centuries.
Afterward, it's time for a well-deserved refreshment. You are cordially invited to a delicious lunch in a traditional Prague pub. Try a typical Czech dish and even a glass of Czech beer.
After lunch, on the way to the Vltava pier, you will have the opportunity to explore the picturesque narrow streets of the medieval Old Town. Now, pleasantly tired, you can climb aboard the wooden boat and start the river cruise on the Vltava!
Don't forget your camera to take the best snapshots of the city from a completely different perspective. In winter, the boats are heated and mulled wine is offered; in summer, cold beer or soft drinks are served along with a small snack. After the boat tour, you will have the unique opportunity to visit the Charles Bridge Museum for free, located in the same place where the tour starts and ends: next to the Charles Bridge on Křížovnické náměstí (Crusader Lords' Square), with the statue of Charles IV as a backdrop.
