Angra Dos Reis Tour with Lunch

General information

Destination
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Program details

The town of Angra dos Reis has been settled in time and time again since the early 1500’s. There are a whole bunch of beautiful old buildings which point back to its colonial past when the town was well known for its port and as an agricultural centre. A schooner boat awaits you at the dock to take you along on a cruise around a fair few of those islands, where you're bound to want to dive in to the sea to have a dip as the enticing turquoise blue waters practically pull you in. After that, you're sure to be a peckish so you'll certainly lap up a delicious lunch where you can pick dishes at the self-service buffet.

We are going to embark on the shared schooner excursion as soon as we get to Angra dos Reis. The duration of the schooner ride is about four hours.

Angra, which translates to "small bay," is a large series of bays and islets. During the tour, we make stops at several locations where we can swim, take in the stunning islands, unwind in the clear water, and observe how they contrast with the lush hues of the Atlantic rain forest.

We frequently make stops at Praia de Japariz, Freguesia de Santana, Lagoa Azul, and Ilha de Cataguases. We may be fortunate enough to observe some turtles and a large number of fish.

Throughout the day, we stop for a buffet lunch.

Then, we return to the land vehicle to go back to Rio.
