Step into ancient Greece on this in-depth walking tour of historical central Athens, including the Acropolis World Heritage Site and other key monuments such as Hadrian's Arch, the Temple of Zeus, and the Parthenon. After meeting your guide in the hotel lobby, you will begin by visiting the Greek House of Parliament and the Monument of the Unknown Soldier to watch the changing of the guards. Your tour continues on to the beautiful National Gardens, passing by the Anglican church of St. Paul and on to the beautiful neoclassical Zappeion Hall, in front of which tower the surviving columns of the Temple of Zeus and Hadrian’s Arch. Heading to the famous Plaka district, you will see the portrait of Melina Merkouri before moving on to the beautiful Dionysiou Areopagitou pedestrian walkway.
