Program details
We leave the city behind and cycle gently to the pretty Etruscan town hill town of Fiesole to visit a local working farm where you may buy home made products from the farm’s shop. From here we continue along cycle tracks through the countryside to the Piazzale Michelangelo, a popular hillside terrace which offers stunning views over the city and the perfect spot for taking photos. You also have time to visit the San Minato al Monte church, a beautiful architectural gem.
Next, follow your guide back down the hillside to the Lungarni riverside streets to stop at a wine bar to sample the delicious wine and snacks typical of the local Chianti region. Our day finishes as we cycle back through the streets of Florence and your expert guide will explain the history and anecdotes as you stop to admire and photograph some of the many famous highlights and monuments such as Ponte Vecchio, the Florence Duomo with its famous dome by Brunelleschi, Pitti Palace and the Piazza della Signoria.
